A collision led to FC Bal op het Dak getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Berten De Spiegeleire hit a great ball. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Valentijn in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dan Kjellman in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Zoetmulder saved De Pelgrims from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwan Valentijn in the 23rd minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Iwan Valentijn sped through De Pelgrims's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mike Zoetmulder. A collision led to FC Bal op het Dak getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Shaq Francis hit a great ball. Harvey Davies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias de Ruijter in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Perivaldo Eger got a very nice opportunity to score, but Harvey Davies was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. FC Bal op het Dak were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after De Pelgrims's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marick Brunt took the corner. The corner led FC Bal op het Dak's Artur Mendes to fire away a dangerous shot which Mike Zoetmulder despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The throw-in from Theo Tuyp in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Bal op het Dak's Válbson Almeida. After 37 played minutes FC Bal op het Dak got a freekick which was hit by Artur Mendes. With a little luck, FC Bal op het Dak's Harvey Davies got control of the ball when Perivaldo Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Perivaldo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwan Valentijn in the 42nd minute of the match. When De Pelgrims's Huub Gerrits in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bal op het Dak's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
