NFC Eagles 22's Ciccio Tacconi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Heesen in the 35th minute of play. Ciccio Tacconi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
