The Underdogs's Jan Wessel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Menno Riemers in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Beetje Moe Re-United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Averdijk to maneuver through the defense. Jan Wessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Porreca in the 13th minute of play. Benjamin Heck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Benjamin Hecks short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Jan Wessel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 33 minutes, Henk Weerd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beetje Moe Re-United and the The Underdogs players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Henk Weerd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jelte Zevenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match The Underdogs got a corner. Beetje Moe Re-United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ed Palsma ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on The Underdogs's corner Ed Palsma fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jelte Zevenberg quite easily take care of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dolf Schoonderwoerd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Piearres Olalla took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Jelte Zevenberg to make any attempt to save it. In the 63rd minute, Dolf Schoonderwoerd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Beetje Moe Re-United's goal looked a bit too open when Piearres Olalla came free, but Jelte Zevenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beetje Moe Re-United made a substitution. Jurgen Kruijs replaced Menno Riemers. The Underdogs made a substitution. Riemer Fries replaced Frank de Boer. Henk Weerd kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Underdogs! In the 78th minute, Ralph Averdijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's Ed Palsma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jelte Zevenberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jan Wessel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Wisgerhof, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Iustin Hațegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelte Zevenberg having to interfere. Beetje Moe Re-United's Mark Klaasens was substituted for Benjamin Heck. Jelte Zevenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Bruinsma in the 91st minute of play. Jelte Zevenberg came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by The Underdogs's Henry Bruinsma. But to his dismay, Henry Bruinsma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
