With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petr Čech prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petr Čech didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Caniggia went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Konradsson in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago Gol got free with Lin Hong Song in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lemel SV's Lin Hong Song played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordy Dirks in the 29th minute of play. Lin Hong Song made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Thiago Gol sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by SCs StarS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claudio Caniggia was slow to take the kick. During this time Lemel SV's players had a chance to rest. Claudio Caniggia did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Petr Čech 84 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, SCs StarS's 罗松棋 seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed 罗松棋 the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SCs StarS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and 罗松棋 had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The Lemel SV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lemel SV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
