In the 10th minute Bjorn Schembri Zerafa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Haber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Montebello scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ben Haber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Montebello in the 17th minute of play forced High Ridge's goalkeeper Ben Haber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes, Victor Montebello made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. High Ridge's Ben Haber tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the match, High Ridge's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Montebello came free, but Ben Haber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Kirkop Rainbows fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Ben Haber didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Hyzler went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Victor Montebello scored 0-5 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ben Haber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the High Ridge defense, Victor Montebello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ben Haber. The High Ridge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Haber should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes into the match, High Ridge's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Montebello came free, but Ben Haber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfred Cuschieri to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, High Ridge's goalkeeper Ben Haber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roderick Apap. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Cedric De Lucca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kirkop Rainbows's supporters rose to their feet, but Cedric De Lucca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Haber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ben Haber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Hyzler, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Victor Montebello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ben Haber made a huge save. Jordan Delicata kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Victor Montebello came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ben Haber could save by the left post. Jason Micallef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jordan Delicata charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordan Delicata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Victor Montebello came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ben Haber could save by the left post. Ben Haber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedric De Lucca, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Cedric De Lucca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. High Ridge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Montebello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. In the 90th minute Sebastian Hyzler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Haber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bjorn Schembri Zerafa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Ben Haber made a huge save. High Ridge's Ben Haber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save High Ridge from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, High Ridge's Ben Haber got control of the ball when Cedric De Lucca tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Kirkop Rainbows could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than High Ridge throughout the match.
