Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol's Augustin Bonanno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Montebello in the 11th minute of play. Augustin Bonanno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Hyzler in the 12th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cedric De Lucca during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nick Dimech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremy Gabarretta in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Bjorn Schembri Zerafa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augustin Bonanno skillfully saved the ball. Victor Montebello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Augustin Bonanno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo McIntyre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Nick Dimech made a huge save. Nick Dimech made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Herbert Laspina sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol booed when Kirkop Rainbows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Micallef didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Francesco Duca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol's Augustin Bonanno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjorn Schembri Zerafa in the 47th minute of play. Clayton Fiorini Lowell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augustin Bonanno. Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kirkop Rainbows were winning 0-1.

Victor Montebello's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Augustin Bonanno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. During the 53rd minute of the match Cedric De Lucca completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cedric De Lucca a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 58 played minutes Kirkop Rainbows got a freekick which was hit by Bjorn Schembri Zerafa. A collision led to Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Herbert Laspina hit a great ball. Augustin Bonanno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Duca, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol's goalkeeper Augustin Bonanno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Montebello. Kirkop Rainbows's Bjorn Schembri Zerafa got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match, Bjorn Schembri Zerafa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Augustin Bonanno was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 69th minute Sebastian Hyzler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Bonanno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol's Augustin Bonanno got control of the ball when Bjorn Schembri Zerafa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Hyzler in the 71st minute of play forced Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol's goalkeeper Augustin Bonanno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bjorn Schembri Zerafa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Bonanno having to interfere. After 84 minutes of play, Kirkop Rainbows's Bjorn Schembri Zerafa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augustin Bonanno was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute, Jason Micallef hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Sebastian Hyzler fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 93 minutes, Angelo McIntyre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol and the Kirkop Rainbows players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angelo McIntyre kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Sebastian Hyzler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Bonanno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mdina Klabb tal-Futbol supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kirkop Rainbows's performance. The match ended with a win for Kirkop Rainbows.
