Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ivan Testaferrata Moroni Viani kicked off to start the match. Owen Cardona was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anton Dørum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Cardona having to interfere. Evan Coppini came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ephrem Cassar Desain could save by the left post. Marcel Testaferrata Viani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Owen Cardona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Testaferrata Viani in the 18th minute of play. Evan Coppini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ephrem Cassar Desain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Testaferrata Moroni Viani in the 23rd minute of play forced Hilfiger's goalkeeper Ephrem Cassar Desain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Dørum struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Owen Cardona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hilfiger. 30 minutes into the game, Edmond Bucello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hilfiger's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarġa Gap Youngsters the free kick. A collision led to Hilfiger getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Edmond Bucello hit a great ball. Jean Paul Bencini kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Hilfiger were furious when Edmond Bucello was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 43 played minutes Hilfiger got a freekick which was hit by Edmond Bucello. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Testaferrata Viani was the one to do the kick off. Owen Cardona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Testaferrata Viani in the 51st minute of the match. Marcel Testaferrata Viani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Owen Cardona having to make a save. After 53 minutes, Bjorn Triganza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tarġa Gap Youngsters and the Hilfiger players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tarġa Gap Youngsters getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bjorn Triganza hit a great ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Marcel Testaferrata Viani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hilfiger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Testaferrata Viani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hilfiger's Ephrem Cassar Desain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Testaferrata Moroni Viani in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Hilfiger's goal looked a bit too open when Bjorn Triganza came free, but Ephrem Cassar Desain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ephrem Cassar Desain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan Coppini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Owen Cardona made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Cyprien Nail sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Marcel Testaferrata Viani got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ephrem Cassar Desain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjorn Triganza in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Testaferrata Viani in the 70th minute of play forced Tarġa Gap Youngsters's goalkeeper Owen Cardona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ephrem Cassar Desain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evan Coppini, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Nathaniel Manicolo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ephrem Cassar Desain was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Ephrem Cassar Desain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Testaferrata Moroni Viani in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Jacob Alden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hilfiger's Cyprien Nail got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Ivan Testaferrata Moroni Viani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ephrem Cassar Desain was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 92nd minute, Bjorn Triganza made a precise shot to the right of Ephrem Cassar Desain. Hilfiger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Dørum got free with Owen Cardona in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
