After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Etienne Seracino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escania Tiflis Nórdicos's supporters rose to their feet, but Etienne Seracino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Soler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute of the match Francesco Cachia Caruana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabian Stellini skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Qrendi getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Brian DeGaetano hit a great ball. If Clyde Zarb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st match minute, Escania Tiflis Nórdicos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelinu Stanyer to maneuver through the defense. Michael Soler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Etienne Seracino in the 25th minute. In the 26th match minute, Qrendi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian DeGaetano to maneuver through the defense. Kelinu Stanyer, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a little luck, Qrendi's Michael Soler got control of the ball when Etienne Seracino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 39 played minutes Andre Lanfranco rounded Qrendi's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andre Lanfranco to strike the kick off in the second half. Louis Pulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Stellini having to interfere. If Clyde Zarb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Stellini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis Pulis in the 61st minute of the match. Michael Soler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Lanfranco, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Etienne Seracino came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Escania Tiflis Nórdicos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Etienne Seracino couldn't finish the play. After 66 minutes, Gary Mamo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Qrendi and the Escania Tiflis Nórdicos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Qrendi got a freekick which was hit by Gary Mamo. Clyde Zarb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Qrendi's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Lanfranco came free, but Michael Soler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Qrendi's Michael Soler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Lanfranco in the 81st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brian DeGaetano during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Qrendi's Brian DeGaetano got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Michael Soler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Etienne Seracino went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Andre Lanfranco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Escania Tiflis Nórdicos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
