The Birkirkara FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rabat Ajax F.C. were winning 0-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Stephan Pace got free with Patrick Camilleri in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rabat Ajax F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
