Michele Sansone who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Nathan Roberts when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Michele Sansone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Nathan Roberts made a huge save. Gżira Steelers's James Carbonese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Christophoro in the 7th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Angelo Christophoro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gżira Steelers's James Carbonese. James Carbonese was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isaac Laganà hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Gerard Gregory recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith Santucci in the 29th minute of play forced Eleven Wonders's goalkeeper Nathan Roberts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Christophoro in the 31st minute of play forced Gżira Steelers's goalkeeper James Carbonese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. James Carbonese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleaven Denaro in the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Xandru Accardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerard Gregory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Roberts having to interfere. If Gerard Gregory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard Gregory came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nathan Roberts could save by the left post. Michele Sansone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Angelo Christophoro made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Eleven Wonders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xandru Accardo to maneuver through the defense. Eleven Wonders's Cleaven Denaro got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Giorgio Petrocochino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerard Gregory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Roberts having to interfere. A collision led to Eleven Wonders getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bertrand Ross hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cleaven Denaro got free with James Carbonese in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Eleven Wonders booed when Gżira Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keith Santucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Eleven Wonders's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Santucci came free, but Nathan Roberts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 played minutes Eleven Wonders got a freekick which was hit by Giorgio Petrocochino. Ranier Micallef Enyaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Roberts having to interfere. Michele Sansone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nathan Roberts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathan Roberts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michele Sansone in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Michele Sansone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Michele Sansone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nathan Roberts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
