Seating: 1980, VIP seats: 172) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wayne Magro got the match started through his kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wayne Magro got free with Kurt Mangion in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kurt Mangion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Sammut Castelletti in the 25th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Teodor Dadu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Mangion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Amadeo Quintano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kurt Mangion. That made the score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. Amadeo Quintano's late challenge caught a Mellieħa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeo Quintano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bulebel's Amadeo Quintano got a free kick in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Massimo Pace had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alessio De Battista. Bulebel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Massimo Pace was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Mellieħa's Kurt Mangion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Mellieħa from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Mellieħa getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Massimo Pace hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Ryan Ciantar made the kick off in the second half. Kurt Mangion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Dadu in the 54th minute of the match. Kurt Mangion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wayne Magro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mellieħa booed when Bulebel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Cassar Naudi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Mangion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Cremona in the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Bulebel's goal looked a bit too open when Massimo Pace came free, but Alessio De Battista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Mellieħa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenic Debono to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Dadu in the 68th minute of play forced Mellieħa's goalkeeper Kurt Mangion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Domenic Debono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Glenn Ghio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bulebel's supporters rose to their feet, but Glenn Ghio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Mangion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kurt Mangion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wayne Magro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Kurt Mangion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Quintano in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Bulebel players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
