In the 15th minute Steve Abela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Bajada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve Abela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Michael Cioffi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mark Savona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Paul Amaira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Abdilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. George Bajada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of A.C RossoNero booed when The Three-sided Coins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Xiberras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franco Quintano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steve Abela scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Bajada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jean Paul Amaira made the kick off in the second half. George Bajada didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in The Three-sided Coins's zone, Steve Abela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Bajada came out of the goal and Steve Abela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Anton Abdilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of A.C RossoNero booed when The Three-sided Coins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Cassar Torreggiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Anton Abdilla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Bajada was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Steve Abela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Steve Abela made a precise shot to the right of George Bajada. The Three-sided Coins's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded A.C RossoNero left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Three-sided Coins.
