The wind increased when Ivan Polidano made the kick off in the second half. Thomas Mercieca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Polidano in the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Carl Coppini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunners's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Coppini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Mercieca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Ivan Polidano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Mercieca was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Gunners's Philip Bezzina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Farrugia in the 71st minute of play. Carl Coppini struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Thomas Mercieca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunners. When Jason Ganado fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nigret's protests and gave Jason Ganado a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nigret fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! James Bezzina shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Thomas Mercieca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carl Coppini went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Polidano in the 84th minute of play forced Nigret's goalkeeper Thomas Mercieca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Amadeo Farrugia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nigret's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Farrugia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, Thomas Drago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Carl Coppini managed to get in a good position for a shot.
