George Bajada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jacob Buontempo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The Three-sided Coins's George Bajada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Polidano in the 13th minute of play. Ivan Polidano might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Bajada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Polidano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute, Ivan Polidano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Three-sided Coins's goalkeeper George Bajada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carl Coppini got free with George Bajada in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 played minutes The Three-sided Coins got a freekick which was hit by Daniele Cassar Torreggiani. After 36 minutes, Thomas Drago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gunners and the The Three-sided Coins players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thomas Drago kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Ivan Polidano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to The Three-sided Coins getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Domenic Coleiro hit a great ball. When Adriano Formosa fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunners's protests and gave Adriano Formosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Carl Coppini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 49th minute, Ryan Cassar Naudi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ivan Polidano made the kick off in the second half. George Bajada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Coppini in the 56th minute of the match. Ivan Polidano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59thth minute of the game Ivan Polidano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Three-sided Coins's George Bajada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to The Three-sided Coins getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Daniele Cassar Torreggiani hit a great ball. After some careless play in the The Three-sided Coins defense, Ivan Polidano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Bajada. The The Three-sided Coins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Bajada should have stopped the shot. Carl Coppini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. George Bajada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adriano Formosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Coppini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Bajada having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Jean Paul Amaira managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Three-sided Coins's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Paul Amaira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Bezzina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Jean Paul Amaira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Bezzina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Gunners's Carl Coppini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Bajada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 96th minute Ivan Polidano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Bajada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Quintano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gunners fully deserved thier win.
