An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Farrugia in the 5th minute of play forced Kemmunett's goalkeeper Benoir Haber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nigret's goalkeeper Thomas Mercieca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeo Farrugia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry Galdes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benoir Haber having to interfere. Benoir Haber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Farrugia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roderick Cassingena's late challenge caught a Nigret's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roderick Cassingena helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Kemmunett got a freekick which was hit by Roderick Cassingena. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Galdes got free with Benoir Haber in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dustin Papagiorcopulo's late challenge caught a Nigret's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dustin Papagiorcopulo helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Kemmunett got a freekick which was hit by Dustin Papagiorcopulo. After the first half Kemmunett were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 87th minute, Daniel De Fremeaux left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kemmunett fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Benoir Haber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Farrugia, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
