Glenn Schembri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vincent Baldacchino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Mġarr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun Lentini to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Sladden in the 12th minute of play forced Mġarr's goalkeeper Andrea Bonello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vincent Baldacchino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun Lentini in the 17th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, San Ġiljan Youths's Jacob Stivala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrea Bonello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, San Ġiljan Youths's goalkeeper Vincent Baldacchino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glenn Schembri. Andrea Bonello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Stivala in the 23rd minute of play. When Jacob Stivala came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the San Ġiljan Youths fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacob Stivala couldn't finish the play. Leon Sladden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Bonello having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Shaun Lentini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mġarr's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Ġiljan Youths the free kick. In the 41st match minute, San Ġiljan Youths was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Hamilton to maneuver through the defense. San Ġiljan Youths's Vincent Baldacchino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Gellel in the 43rd minute of play. Andrea Bonello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Stivala in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Mġarr's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Stivala came free, but Andrea Bonello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Leon Sladden made the kick off in the second half. Ivan Hamilton hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ben Manduca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vincent Baldacchino. San Ġiljan Youths's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, San Ġiljan Youths's goal looked a bit too open when Glenn Schembri came free, but Vincent Baldacchino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrea Bonello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Sladden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the San Ġiljan Youths defense, Glenn Schembri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vincent Baldacchino. The San Ġiljan Youths fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vincent Baldacchino should have stopped the shot. Vincent Baldacchino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Gellel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
