After a rather tough play, FC Resurrection's Stephan Bonello got a free kick in the 12th minute. Tyrone Tortell charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tyrone Tortell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute of the match, Amadeo Brincat got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stephen Satariano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Liam Cassar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Liam Cassar came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Les diables de Chamonix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Cassar couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Teuma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Anthony Sapienza took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Gilbert Curmi to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Amadeo Brincat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stephen Satariano was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Edward Fiott hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Resurrection's zone, Amadeo Brincat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 75 minutes of play, Les diables de Chamonix's Evan Felice made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stephen Satariano was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Liam Cassar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Resurrection's Stephen Satariano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liam Cassar in the 84th minute of play. If Amadeo Brincat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute of the match Adrian Sciberras Trigona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stephen Satariano skillfully saved the ball. 95 minutes into the match, FC Resurrection's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Laudi came free, but Stephen Satariano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Les diables de Chamonix's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
