Spectators: 8446 (Terracing: 6336, Seating: 1942, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jason Grima started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, MEPA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nigel Salerno came free, but John Cassar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to MEPA FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Neville Fabri hit a great ball. In the 6thth minute of the game Jason Grima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MEPA FC's John Cassar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 7 minutes, Frederick Polidano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MEPA FC and the Ajajax Brazorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. John Cassar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nigel Salerno's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. John Cassar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Grima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ajajax Brazorf's Andrè Fabri got a free kick in the 13th minute. Neil Troisi's shot from long distance in the 14th minute was not bad at all, but Ajajax Brazorf's Claudio Boffa knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Jordan Zampa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Boffa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Nigel Salerno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nigel Salerno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. John Cassar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederick Polidano kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Nigel Salerno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Cassar having to interfere. Nigel Salerno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. John Cassar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When MEPA FC's Jordan Zampa in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ajajax Brazorf's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Tyron De Lucca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MEPA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyron De Lucca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ajajax Brazorf's zone, Jordan Zampa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Boffa came out of the goal and Jordan Zampa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Andrè Fabri fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ajajax Brazorf's protests and gave Andrè Fabri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Ajajax Brazorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrè Fabri to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jordan Zampa made a kick off. Harry Bellizzi struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. John Cassar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajajax Brazorf. In the 55th match minute, Ajajax Brazorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gianluca Cordina to maneuver through the defense. Claudio Boffa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyron De Lucca in the 58th minute of play. Ajajax Brazorf's Jason Grima got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tyron De Lucca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nigel Salerno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. John Cassar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Tyron De Lucca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MEPA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyron De Lucca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordan Zampa in the 80th minute of play forced Ajajax Brazorf's goalkeeper Claudio Boffa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Giovanni Cini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MEPA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajajax Brazorf the free kick. After a rather tough play, MEPA FC's Giovanni Cini got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Nigel Salerno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. John Cassar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Cassar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Grima, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Jordan Zampa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
