Spectators: 8250 (Terracing: 6310, Seating: 1935, VIP seats: 5) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Massimo Sultana made the kick off which started today's match. Ismael Chircop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordan Zampa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in MEPA FC's zone, Massimo Sultana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Cassar came out of the goal and Massimo Sultana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tyron De Lucca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ismael Chircop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Luqa defense, Jordan Zampa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Chircop. The Luqa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Chircop should have stopped the shot. John Cassar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Massimo Sultana in the 24th minute of the match. When Mark Cefai came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Luqa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Cefai couldn't finish the play. Giovanni Cini kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind MEPA FC's goalkeeper John Cassar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tyron De Lucca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Luqa's Philip Cassar Naudi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Jordan Zampa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ismael Chircop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Luqa's Gary Mifsud got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute Tyron De Lucca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Chircop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Jordan Zampa made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, MEPA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Frendo came free, but John Cassar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Chircop came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by MEPA FC's Tyron De Lucca. But to his dismay, Tyron De Lucca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mark Cefai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Cassar having to interfere. Jordan Zampa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Luqa's Sean Frendo got a free kick in the 71st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovanni Cini during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Luqa booed when MEPA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Cini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jordan Zampa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind MEPA FC's goalkeeper John Cassar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Massimo Sultana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. John Cassar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Jordan Zampa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MEPA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The MEPA FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MEPA FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
