Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Julian Ciappara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ben Lia in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mtarfa's zone, Matthew Carabott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Ciappara came out of the goal and Matthew Carabott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Owen Mifsud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9thth minute of the game Christian Pace Bonello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marsa FC's Tim Dimech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tim Dimech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Pace Bonello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 12 minutes, Jake Montebello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marsa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jake Montebello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Marsa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Pace Bonello came free, but Tim Dimech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tim Dimech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Pace Bonello in the 24th minute of play. If Gregory Xriha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ben Lia in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Ciappara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bjorn Pace Bonello kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Gregory Xriha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Ciappara having to interfere. Ben Lias short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Julian Ciappara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 35 minutes into the match, Mtarfa's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Lia came free, but Julian Ciappara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jake Montebello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Ben Lia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julian Ciappara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Marsa FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gregory Xriha hit a great ball.

Mtarfa's Julian Ciappara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Carabott in the 53rd minute of play. Mike Rogerson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Tim Dimech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Mtarfa got a freekick which was hit by Clinton Salomone. In the 62nd minute, Ben Lia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Carabott in the 63rd minute of play forced Mtarfa's goalkeeper Julian Ciappara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles Pace hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Ben Lia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charles Pace kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben Lia in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julian Ciappara saved Mtarfa from getting behind. Ben Lia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Julian Ciappara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Gregory Xriha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ben Lia struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Julian Ciappara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marsa FC. Julian Ciappara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Mifsud in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Marsa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Pace Bonello came free, but Tim Dimech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Xriha kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. When Owen Mifsud came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Marsa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Owen Mifsud couldn't finish the play. Julian Ciappara came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Marsa FC's Jake Montebello. But to his dismay, Jake Montebello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Julian Ciappara came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Marsa FC's Gregory Xriha. But to his dismay, Gregory Xriha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Marsa FC had played much better football throughout.
