Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) If Alex Ghigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Armier Youngsters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alex Ghigo was slow to take the kick. During this time Qala St. Joseph's players had a chance to rest. Clifton Romano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evan Gafà in the 6th minute of play. Clifton Romano didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Qala St. Joseph's Evan Gafà shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 22 played minutes Qala St. Joseph got a freekick which was hit by Edward Vella. 24 minutes into the game, Shawn Pulo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Armier Youngsters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Qala St. Joseph the free kick. Qala St. Joseph made a substitution. Alexander Blanco replaced Peter Paul Laus. After a rather tough play, Armier Youngsters's Shawn Pulo got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Qala St. Joseph's goalkeeper Keith Cumbo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ġorġ Peel. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Evan Gafà put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Clifton Romano. After 35 played minutes Armier Youngsters got a freekick which was hit by Saviour Munro. In the 39th minute Qala St. Joseph were awarded a corner. Alex Ghigo went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Alessio Pullicino Orlando to score against Clifton Romano in Armier Youngsters's goal. 0-4 after 39 minutes. In the 46thth minute of the game Evan Gafà who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Armier Youngsters's Clifton Romano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Evan Gafà's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clifton Romano was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The Armier Youngsters players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Qala St. Joseph were winning 0-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christopher Apap made a kick off. Evan Gafà who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Clifton Romano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 54 minutes into the game, Qala St. Joseph's Evan Gafà nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clifton Romano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. When Evan Gafà came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Qala St. Joseph fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evan Gafà couldn't finish the play. Evan Gafà did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Clifton Romano 65 minutes into the match. Keith Cumbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Apap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evan Gafà who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Clifton Romano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Evan Gafà had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qala St. Joseph's Alessio Pullicino Orlando got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evan Gafà in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clifton Romano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Armier Youngsters's Lawrence Ward got a free kick in the 77th minute. A hard shot 81 in the game by Evan Gafà from a close distance when the talented Clifton Romano managed to make a qualified save. Armier Youngsters's players were relieved. Edward Vella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Evan Gafà managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Qala St. Joseph's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evan Gafà was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clifton Romano made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Evan Gafà sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Armier Youngsters's goalkeeper Clifton Romano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Mark Gottschalk fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Armier Youngsters's protests and gave Mark Gottschalk a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Qala St. Joseph's Evan Gafà got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Armier Youngsters fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Qala St. Joseph were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
