Ad Astra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sean Haber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Sean Haber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ad Astra's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Haber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Guerriera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ryan Xiberras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neville Platamone in the 13th minute of play. When Leonard Strickland Bologna fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Żejtun Knights's protests and gave Leonard Strickland Bologna a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Żejtun Knights got a freekick which was hit by Gavin Bond. Julian Guerriera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Haber in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, Żejtun Knights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Figallo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Żejtun Knights's Julian Guerriera got control of the ball when Sean Haber tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sean Haber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Guerriera having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Żejtun Knights's Leonard Figallo got a free kick in the 60th minute. Jayden Laganà hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Sean Haber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julian Guerriera was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sean Haber in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julian Guerriera saved Żejtun Knights from getting behind. Sean Haber might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julian Guerriera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sean Haber ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sean Haber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Żejtun Knights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Figallo to maneuver through the defense. Sean Haber got in the 77th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Julian Guerriera handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Żejtun Knights's goalkeeper Julian Guerriera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ad Astra fully deserved thier win.
