Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anastasios Tragas started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Balzan Rainbows's zone, Anastasios Tragas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertrand Engerer came out of the goal and Anastasios Tragas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute Andrea Valletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Coleiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasios Tragas scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bertrand Engerer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anastasios Tragas struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Bertrand Engerer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VALLETTA WHITE STARS. The VALLETTA WHITE STARS fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when VALLETTA WHITE STARS's Anastasios Tragas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 15 minutes into the match, VALLETTA WHITE STARS's goal looked a bit too open when Neville Degiorgio came free, but Leon Coleiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertrand Engerer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anastasios Tragas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bertrand Engerer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicholas Quintano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tarcisio Cousin hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Balzan Rainbows's Bertrand Engerer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Gambin in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, VALLETTA WHITE STARS's Anastasios Tragas made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bertrand Engerer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bertrand Engerer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Quintano in the 37th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Anastasios Tragas sped through Balzan Rainbows's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bertrand Engerer. In the 41st match minute, Balzan Rainbows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Bonett to maneuver through the defense. Balzan Rainbows's Bertrand Engerer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasios Tragas in the 42nd minute of play. Bertrand Engerer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasios Tragas in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Nicholas Quintano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bertrand Engerer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrea Valletta was the one to do the kick off. Anastasios Tragass short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Bertrand Engerer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 0-7 became the score in the 55th minute when Peter Paul Dingli elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 59 played minutes VALLETTA WHITE STARS got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Miggiani. Jeremy Ciliberti hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Bertrand Engerer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anastasios Tragas went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, VALLETTA WHITE STARS's Chris Abdilla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bertrand Engerer. Bertrand Engerer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. When VALLETTA WHITE STARS's Chris Abdilla in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balzan Rainbows's goalie prevented a goal. Chris Abdilla in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bertrand Engerer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chris Abdilla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Bertrand Engerer 80 minutes into the match. After 83rd play minutes Chris Abdilla shot 0-11, a short shot which went by Bertrand Engerer and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Peter Paul Dingli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertrand Engerer was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Bertrand Engerer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Abdilla's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Balzan Rainbows's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Paul Dingli came free, but Bertrand Engerer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Abdilla got free with Bertrand Engerer in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. VALLETTA WHITE STARS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
