VALLETTA WHITE STARS's Leon Coleiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save VALLETTA WHITE STARS from getting a goal against them. After 30 minutes of play, VALLETTA WHITE STARS's Massimo Mizzi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. VALLETTA WHITE STARS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasios Tragas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anastasios Tragas to make the kick off. The Eleven Young Elephants supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VALLETTA WHITE STARS's performance.
