The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Ziya Onur Muzaffer got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 6 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikolai Gerada came free, but André Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Márk Kovács in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francesco Ciantar saved Buġibba Youngsters from getting behind. In the 21st minute of the match Templars FC got a corner. Buġibba Youngsters's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Staffan Apelqvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Benedict Cumberbatch managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. André Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Demanuele in the 26th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Márk Kovács left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Templars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Francesco Ciantar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Márk Kovács in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adelino Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Buġibba Youngsters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph De Fremeaux to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Templars FC's Francesco Ciantar threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Márk Kovács, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 45th minute, Márk Kovács made a precise shot to the right of Francesco Ciantar. Buġibba Youngsters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Márk Kovács to strike the kick off in the second half. Márk Kovács struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Francesco Ciantar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Templars FC. The audience was convinced that Márk Kovács's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francesco Ciantar was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut was substituted for Márk Kovács. After a rather tough play, Buġibba Youngsters's Nikolai Zammit got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute Jonathan Sammut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Ciantar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francesco Ciantar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Joseph De Fremeaux could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but André Courtois made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Jonathan Sammut made a precise shot to the right of Francesco Ciantar. Buġibba Youngsters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Buġibba Youngsters's Noel Ebejer was substituted for Martin Demanuele. If Joaquin Phoenix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute of the match, Noel Ebejer got a very nice opportunity to score, but André Courtois was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The corner ended in Samuel Montebello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Templars FC's André Courtois did a great save. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, André Courtois successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Buġibba Youngsters defense, Jonathan Sammut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francesco Ciantar. The Buġibba Youngsters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francesco Ciantar should have stopped the shot. André Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Ebejer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 minutes Templars FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Montebello who took care of the corner kick. Templars FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Buġibba Youngsters for a fine match.
