Spectators: 10836 (Terracing: 8128, Seating: 2492, VIP seats: 216) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kyle Thake started the match with the kick off. Adrian Grech made in the 7th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Floriana Celtics's zone, Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Lentini came out of the goal and Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jay Jowsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kyle Thake got free with Jay Jowsey in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Kyle Thake sped through Attard Gunners's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jay Jowsey. After a defensive mix-up in Attard Gunners's zone, Kyle Thake stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jay Jowsey came out of the goal and Kyle Thake tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sebastian Ekelund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Ekelund in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Ekelund in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Lentini saved Floriana Celtics from getting behind. In the 37thth minute of the game Sebastian Ekelund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kyle Thake in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jay Jowsey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Alan Said made the kick off in the second half. When Floriana Celtics's Kyle Thake in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Attard Gunners's Sebastian Ekelund got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 62 minutes, Sebastian Ekelund made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Richard Lentini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Ekelund in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Floriana Celtics's Kyle Thake got a free kick in the 65th minute. Adrian Grech made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jay Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Thake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alex Testaferrata Viani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Attard Gunners's Adrian Grech. Adrian Savona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Richard Lentini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Savona in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Attard Gunners defense, Alex Testaferrata Viani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jay Jowsey. The Attard Gunners fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jay Jowsey should have stopped the shot. If Michael Testaferrata Olivier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jay Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Thake in the 93rd minute of play. Kyle Thake struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jay Jowsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floriana Celtics. Despite being the better team, Floriana Celtics failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
