Frederick Pulè showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Borg in the 12th minute of the match. Ponticella Stars were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Maleth F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Tieri took the corner. Frederick Pulè didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Tieri went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Fabrizio Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After having played for 51 minutes, Edgar Sigfridsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ponticella Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Sigfridsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Edgar Sigfridsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Frederick Pulè however easily saved by the left post. 69 minutes into the game, Edgar Sigfridsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Frederick Pulè was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Botond Petres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asso Kullamaa having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Ponticella Stars got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Sigfridsson. Ponticella Stars made a substitution. Josh Carbonaro replaced Edgar Sigfridsson. In the 80th match minute, Ponticella Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Sigfridsson to maneuver through the defense. Maleth F.C.'s Frederick Pulè proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Maleth F.C. from getting a goal against them.
