In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rahim Kornes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Incorvaia in the 11th minute of play. After 12 minutes of play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Filip Bejrut made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pankracy Zawacki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernando Negro might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Zawacki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Negro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute Fernando Negro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Zawacki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Song Wei Yun in the 21st minute of play forced Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Negro in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Zawacki saved Meerkats FC from getting behind. Rahim Kornes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun De Battista in the 36th minute of the match. Ildefonso Fliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Rahim Kornes made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Harry Potter got a free kick in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shaun De Battista in the 40th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Rahim Kornes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rahim Kornes made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ildefonso Fliz sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Filip Bejrut notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Meerkats FC's Pankracy Zawacki. Pankracy Zawacki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Song Wei Yun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Fernando Negro came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Seraċini Għawdxin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Negro couldn't finish the play. Gilbert Incorvaia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rahim Kornes having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Seraċini Għawdxin's zone, Shaun De Battista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rahim Kornes came out of the goal and Shaun De Battista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rahim Kornes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Coleiro in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Meerkats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrè Tedesco to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Song Wei Yun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Zawacki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Meerkats FC's Pankracy Zawacki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Meerkats FC from getting a goal against them. 雷然杰 hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Meerkats FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Shaun De Battista in the 84th minute. The corner ended in Shaun De Battista almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes did a great save. In the 92nd minute, Fernando Negro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 95 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Pankracy Zawacki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Song Wei Yun. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Seraċini Għawdxin walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
