Shaun De Battista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Sebastian Sapiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Meerkats FC's Shaun De Battista slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastian Sapiano. That made the score 2-0 after 9 minutes of play. Sebastian Sapiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Coleiro in the 14th minute of the match. Sebastian Sapiano was a little too slow when Shaun De Battista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 3-0. Sebastian Sapiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Coleiro in the 19th minute. After 27 played minutes Aron Ghinescu rounded Valetta Pirates FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 5-0. Sebastian Sapiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shaun De Battista in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Valetta Pirates FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Friggieri to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Aron Ghinescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastian Sapiano. That made the score 6-0 in the 33 minute of play. Aron Ghinescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebastian Sapiano came out and tried to block the shot, but Aron Ghinescu slotted it home off the left post making it 7-0 in the 37th minute. With a little luck, Valetta Pirates FC's Sebastian Sapiano got control of the ball when Ildefonso Fliz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastian Sapiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aron Ghinescu in the 41st minute. Domenic De Battista's late challenge caught a Meerkats FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domenic De Battista helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Valetta Pirates FC got a freekick which was hit by Domenic De Battista. Sebastian Sapiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Fliz in the 46th minute of play. Justin Montanaro kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Sebastian Sapiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ildefonso Fliz went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 8-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ildefonso Fliz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Alfred Coleiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Sapiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Coleiro scored 9-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Sapiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute, Alfred Coleiro made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Sapiano. Valetta Pirates FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ildefonso Fliz in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Sapiano saved Valetta Pirates FC from getting behind. Meerkats FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Shaun De Battista in the 66th minute. Shaun De Battista made a great header on Meerkats FC's corner, it was just that Valetta Pirates FC's Sebastian Sapiano managed to reach the ball for a save. Meerkats FC's 郑奕明 was substituted for Aron Ghinescu. 73 minutes into the match, Shaun De Battista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Sapiano. Valetta Pirates FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shaun De Battista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. In the 80th minute, 郑奕明 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Sapiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. In the 83rd minute, 郑奕明 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meerkats FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 14-0. 88 minutes into the game, Meerkats FC's 郑奕明 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Sapiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 15-0. Sebastian Sapiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ildefonso Fliz went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 16-0 was the resulting score. 96 minutes into the match, 郑奕明 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Sapiano. Valetta Pirates FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 郑奕明 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 17-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Meerkats FC had played much better football throughout.
