The audience was convinced that Fatmir Spasenov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iljo Davitkovski was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 15thth minute of the game Fatmir Spasenov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but REAL MADRID's Iljo Davitkovski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Pobeda Partizan fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Pobeda Partizan's Fatmir Spasenov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Enver Trpevski ran back to his position shaking his head. Canko Angelov hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Pobeda Partizan's Teofil Lazarevič in action when he in the 29th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fatmir Spasenov in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iljo Davitkovski saved REAL MADRID from getting behind. When Mihajlo Nikolič fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored REAL MADRID's protests and gave Mihajlo Nikolič a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Mihajlo Nikolič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pobeda Partizan's Enver Trpevski got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Fatmir Spasenov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iljo Davitkovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fatmir Spasenov in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iljo Davitkovski saved REAL MADRID from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihajlo Nikolič was the one to do the kick off. Pobeda Partizan's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
