Carlisle Bonham had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Nebošja Bogatinov's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nebošja Bogatinov got free with Carlisle Bonham in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trajko Mojsovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Carlisle Bonham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Red Eagles's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nebošja Bogatinov in the 20th minute. With a little luck, Ljubanci's Carlisle Bonham got control of the ball when Nebošja Bogatinov tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Red Eagles's Carlisle Bonham threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Trajko Mojsovski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carlisle Bonham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fidan Kostovski in the 36th minute. Carlisle Bonham was a little too slow when Trajko Mojsovski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-0. Carlisle Bonham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidan Kostovski in the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 52nd minute Fidan Kostovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Bonham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Aldo Castellani notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Red Eagles's Cvetan Cvetanoski. Cvetan Cvetanoski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 56 minutes into the match, Ljubanci's goal looked a bit too open when Trajko Mojsovski came free, but Carlisle Bonham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ljubanci's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nebošja Bogatinov was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Eagles's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Red Eagles's Nebošja Bogatinov to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlisle Bonham despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Fidan Kostovski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlisle Bonham. Ljubanci's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidan Kostovski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Nebošja Bogatinov made a great header on Red Eagles's corner, it was just that Ljubanci's Carlisle Bonham managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Red Eagles getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ilir Tanasievski hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trajko Mojsovski in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlisle Bonham saved Ljubanci from getting behind.
