If Stoycho Karadashki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Lledias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Stojkovič in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Winfried Spegele saved Rožden Partizan from getting behind. Igor Stojkovič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Winfried Spegele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Winfried Spegele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 程振明 in the 31st minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Rožden Partizan got a freekick which was hit by Nathanaël Donne. Rožden Partizan's Winfried Spegele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Stojkovič in the 37th minute of play. Winfried Spegele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 程振明 in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Stojkovič in the 47th minute of play forced Rožden Partizan's goalkeeper Winfried Spegele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Stojkovič was the one to do the kick off.
