The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Otto Wagner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc DeBoer's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Wagner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milo Gerhardt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Fc DeBoer booed when Ilkeston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Hartmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. When %teams%'s Harold Majerus was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-0 just inside the left pole, 13 minutes into the game. Ludwig Augenstein was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Harold Majerus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludwig Augenstein having to interfere. Harold Majerus's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Ludwig Augenstein skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Böckler in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludwig Augenstein saved Fc DeBoer from getting behind. Ludwig Augenstein was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tim Böckler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Milo Gerhardt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Wagner, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Otto Wagner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Milo Gerhardt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fc DeBoer's zone, Tim Böckler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Augenstein came out of the goal and Tim Böckler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaston Uhlenbrock hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Ludwig Augenstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Böckler, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tim Böckler to strike the kick off in the second half. Dennis St. Pierre hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Harold Majerus took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ludwig Augenstein. Ludwig Augenstein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harold Majerus in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludwig Augenstein saved Fc DeBoer from getting behind. Ralph Bärwald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Tim Böckler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ilkeston fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. When George Bruckmann fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc DeBoer's protests and gave George Bruckmann a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Fc DeBoer got a freekick which was hit by George Bruckmann. Ernie Auerswald took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ludwig Augenstein. Fc DeBoer's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tim Böckler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ludwig Augenstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ludwig Augenstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Majerus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Fc DeBoer's Gaston Uhlenbrock got a free kick in the 77th minute. Tim Böckler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludwig Augenstein having to interfere. Harold Majerus scored 6-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ludwig Augenstein, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Fc DeBoer's zone, Harold Majerus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Augenstein came out of the goal and Harold Majerus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
