Ludwig Augenstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerry Bartsch in the 6th minute of the match. Edmund Kaiser made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otto Wagner in the 7th minute. After 8 minutes of play, Fc DeBoer's Otto Wagner made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmund Kaiser was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ludwig Augenstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerry Bartsch in the 12th minute of play. Ludwig Augenstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Lavigne, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Astley's Edmund Kaiser got control of the ball when Otto Wagner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Walter Lavigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludwig Augenstein having to interfere. Otto Wagner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 25 minutes, Frankie Bachlechner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frankie Bachlechner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 minutes of play, Astley's Walter Lavigne made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ludwig Augenstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ludwig Augenstein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Lavigne's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dietrich Ozwald in the 32nd minute of play forced Astley's goalkeeper Edmund Kaiser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerry Bartsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ludwig Augenstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Fc DeBoer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christof Bruckert to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Walter Lavigne put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ludwig Augenstein. Dietrich Ozwald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Kaiser having to interfere. After the first half Astley were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Walter Lavigne made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerry Bartsch got free with Ludwig Augenstein in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ludwig Augenstein was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Walter Lavigne showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 53 minute of play. Astley's Edmund Kaiser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Wagner in the 58th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Astley's goal looked a bit too open when Dietrich Ozwald came free, but Edmund Kaiser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Astley's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Wagner came free, but Edmund Kaiser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludwig Augenstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Lavigne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmund Kaiser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dietrich Ozwald in the 96th minute of play. Astley were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Fc DeBoer to leave the ground with a draw.
