Ralph Bärwald kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 6th match minute, Turtle Towers Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Beauchêne to maneuver through the defense. Harold Majerus came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emil Creuzburg could save by the left post. In the 9th minute of the match Ilkeston got a corner. Turtle Towers Soccer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernie Auerswald ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emil Creuzburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Böckler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 20 in the game by Harold Majerus from a close distance when the talented Emil Creuzburg managed to make a qualified save. Turtle Towers Soccer's players were relieved. 22 minutes into the match, Turtle Towers Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Böckler came free, but Emil Creuzburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harold Majerus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Emil Creuzburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswald Augsberger hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Emil Creuzburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Böckler in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Turtle Towers Soccer's Friedrich Brandebourg got a free kick in the 38th minute. Ernie Auerswald, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Emil Creuzburg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harold Majerus went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Maximilian Creuzburg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Milo Gerhardt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Tim Böckler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Creuzburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Böckler in the 54th minute of play. When Bruno Grünewald fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilkeston's protests and gave Bruno Grünewald a yellow card for diving instead. Ilkeston's Milo Gerhardt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Tudor in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Ilkeston booed when Turtle Towers Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jupp Grünfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Creuzburg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harold Majerus's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. A collision led to Turtle Towers Soccer getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jupp Grünfeld hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tim Böckler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emil Creuzburg was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harold Majerus in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Creuzburg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Böckler in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Creuzburg saved Turtle Towers Soccer from getting behind. In the 88th match minute, Ilkeston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Bärwald to maneuver through the defense. If Robert Tudor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Tudor was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Turtle Towers Soccer's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Harold Majerus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilkeston were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Turtle Towers Soccer to leave the ground with a draw.
