In the 24th minute, one of Padiham FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Padiham FC. Dion Ozwald hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Padiham FC, in the 31st minute, was rewarded a free kick, Dion Ozwald went for the shot and managed to fire it away just outside the right post. An excellent chance for a goal! Leo Brodmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leo Brodmann made the kick off in the second half. Ernie Schneider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
