If Eddie Blumenthal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddie Blumenthal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eddie Blumenthal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jan Diederich fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chazon FC's protests and gave Jan Diederich a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Chazon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Diederich to maneuver through the defense. Sam Finkelstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Blumenthal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Günther Groben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Thill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Raphaël Groben tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddie Blumenthal to strike the kick off in the second half. F.C. Shalke Overligger's Günther Groben got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Günther Groben left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Shalke Overligger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Chazon FC's Florian Bismarck got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Raphaël Groben. When Daniel Thill came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Chazon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Thill couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, F.C. Shalke Overligger's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christof Pröll fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 70th minute, Christof Pröll got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Christof Pröll's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphaël Groben was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th minute of the match, Daniel Thill got a very nice opportunity to score, but Raphaël Groben was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Eddie Blumenthal came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the F.C. Shalke Overligger fans jumped to their feet.
