In the 37thth minute of the game Eddie Blumenthal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abbey Wood's Joe Dingle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The wind increased when Perry Townson made the kick off in the second half. Perry Townson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raphaël Groben came out and tried to block the shot, but Perry Townson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 52nd minute. Lloyd Searle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphaël Groben having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Eddie Blumenthal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Perry Townson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphaël Groben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute Günther Groben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Dingle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Abbey Wood's Lloyd Searle in 68 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Raphaël Groben guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 69 played minutes F.C. Shalke Overligger got a freekick which was hit by Robert Brandebourg. Lloyd Searle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raphaël Groben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Townson in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Perry Townson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shalke Overligger's Ernie von Axelson got a free kick in the 78th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Abbey Wood's goal looked a bit too open when Günther Groben came free, but Joe Dingle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Beauchêne charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harry Beauchêne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Perry Townson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raphaël Groben came out and tried to block the shot, but Perry Townson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 89th minute. Günther Groben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abbey Wood's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
