If Andreas Fröhlich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 minutes of play, C.A. Spora's Bernhard Hommel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ludwig Graas was left in no man's land by his defense there! C.A. Spora's Leo Schmitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Andreas Fröhlich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ludwig Graas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ludwig Graas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernhard Hommel, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Club Brugge KV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.A. Spora were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernhard Hommel to make the kick off. Andreas Fröhlich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Club Brugge KV's Jean-Claude Dubois sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Schmitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Bernd Redoute had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernd Redoute kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78thth minute of the game Jean-Claude Dubois who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernd Redoute in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leo Schmitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 96 minutes, Florian Wolff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Brugge KV and the C.A. Spora players grew even worse after the yellow card. Florian Wolff kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Spora had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
