Vincent Kühnhackl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ludwig Graas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent Kühnhackl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mattias Pilz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ludwig Graas made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Mattias Pilz sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Club Brugge KV's zone, Mattias Pilz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Graas came out of the goal and Mattias Pilz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jean-Claude Dubois came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Club Brugge KV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Claude Dubois couldn't finish the play. Jean-Claude Dubois fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Schleck having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Fowey United's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Claude Dubois came free, but Ralf Schleck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Fowey United getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Dennis Bartz hit a great ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Brugge KV's goalkeeper Ludwig Graas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Club Brugge KV's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Kühnhackl came free, but Ludwig Graas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Bernd Redoute managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Brugge KV's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernd Redoute was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Schleck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franz Herrmann hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernd Redoute stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ralf Schleck made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Jean-Claude Dubois sent off a good shot on target. Ralf Schleck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernd Redoute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Vincent Kühnhackl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ludwig Graas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fowey United. Ludwig Graas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Kühnhackl in the 95th minute of the match. Fowey United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
