Spectators: 8504 (Terracing: 6378, Seating: 1956, VIP seats: 170) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernd Redoute started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Heiko Hilgendorf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bob Pilz came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Zidanes y Pavones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bob Pilz couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Hilgendorf in the 6th minute of play forced Club Brugge KV's goalkeeper Ludwig Graas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 played minutes Club Brugge KV got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Mahler. With his leg Ludwig Graas managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Zidanes y Pavones's Bob Pilz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Jean-Claude Dubois came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Club Brugge KV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Claude Dubois couldn't finish the play. Zidanes y Pavones's Michael von Radowitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernd Redoute in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Florian Wolff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernd Redoute scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael von Radowitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st match minute, Zidanes y Pavones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernie Hauer to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zidanes y Pavones's goalkeeper Michael von Radowitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Club Brugge KV's zone, Bob Pilz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Graas came out of the goal and Bob Pilz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Heiko Hilgendorf to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Club Brugge KV got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Claude Dubois. In the 57th minute, Bernd Redoute got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Club Brugge KV booed when Zidanes y Pavones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Bourbon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernd Redoute sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bob Pilz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludwig Graas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heiko Hilgendorf's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Alexander Bruckert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Zidanes y Pavones's goalkeeper Michael von Radowitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Claude Dubois. Club Brugge KV's Ludwig Graas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Pilz in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Zidanes y Pavones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heiko Hilgendorf to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute Bob Pilz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludwig Graas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ludwig Graas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Walch, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
