The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ryszard Smolarek took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jean Dubois. Royal Nassau FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Batu Cem Yalçın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adélio Flores's late challenge caught a Royal Nassau FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean Dubois came out of the goal and Frank Fabel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Batu Cem Yalçın left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paignton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 27thth minute of the game Batu Cem Yalçın who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Royal Nassau FC's Jean Dubois was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Royal Nassau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Fabel came free, but Jean Dubois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Batu Cem Yalçın in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean Dubois saved Royal Nassau FC from getting behind. Jean Dubois was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jean Dubois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batu Cem Yalçın in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Batu Cem Yalçın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Dubois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Frank Fabel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Royal Nassau FC's Jean Dubois did a great save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuel Knochenmus to strike the kick off in the second half. Royal Nassau FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Batu Cem Yalçın scored to the left of an out of position Jean Dubois, making the score, 0-3. Batu Cem Yalçın who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Jean Dubois when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Batu Cem Yalçın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Dubois having to interfere.
