Dagobert Fröhlich started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Royal Nassau FC's zone, Yannick Böhm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Dubois came out of the goal and Yannick Böhm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liam Hummel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dagobert Fröhlich kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Karl Kemmer might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Favre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl Kemmer ran back to his position shaking his head. Tom Favre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Knochenmus in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as FLAMENGO's Liam Hummel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean Dubois. That made the score 2-0 after 21 minutes of play. Liam Hummel kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Kemmer in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tom Favre saved FLAMENGO from getting behind. In the 28th match minute, FLAMENGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steffen Gerhardt to maneuver through the defense. FLAMENGO's Tom Favre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Knochenmus in the 30th minute of play. Jean Dubois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liam Hummel in the 33rd minute. Franck Imhoff kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Liam Hummel came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FLAMENGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Hummel couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Knochenmus to make the kick off. Yannick Böhm's late challenge caught a Royal Nassau FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yannick Böhm helped the player get up and apologised. Yannick Böhm hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl Kemmer got free with Tom Favre in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steffen Gerhardt during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FLAMENGO's Steffen Gerhardt got a free kick in the 60th minute. Tom Favre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl Kemmer in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, FLAMENGO's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Knochenmus came free, but Tom Favre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Dagobert Fröhlich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Dubois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yannick Böhm kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. During the 84th minute of the match Steffen Gerhardt completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Steffen Gerhardt a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Samuel Knochenmus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tom Favre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind FLAMENGO's goalkeeper Tom Favre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karl Kemmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the FLAMENGO defense, Karl Kemmer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tom Favre. The FLAMENGO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tom Favre should have stopped the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
