Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Karl Lentz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Perry Clarkson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Karl Lentz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sefton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Lentz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perry Clarkson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Lentz in the 14th minute of play forced Alveley's goalkeeper Perry Clarkson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Alveley getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jeremy Meade hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute Karl Lentz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perry Clarkson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Lentz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Jupp Otto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sefton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jupp Otto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perry Clarkson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florian Bachmayer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Woodcock, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Lentz in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Perry Clarkson saved Alveley from getting behind. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevin Woodcock was the one to do the kick off. Florian Bachmayer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Meade, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute, Linus Wolff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Sefton FC's zone, Gordon Ansell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Sefton FC's Karl Lentz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perry Clarkson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donny Ronvaux charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jupp Otto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Alveley's zone, Max Buckholz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perry Clarkson came out of the goal and Max Buckholz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Alveley fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sefton FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
