Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4010, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Johnathon Shipton started the match with the kick off. If Julien Drachmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Goodall was a little too slow when Louis Hundhammer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Horsham United's Julien Drachmann got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horsham United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Goodall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julien Drachmann struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Roger Goodall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horsham United. With a little luck, Whitstable's Roger Goodall got control of the ball when Louis Hundhammer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Johnathon Shipton charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnathon Shipton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johnathon Shipton kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Whitstable's zone, Julien Drachmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Goodall came out of the goal and Julien Drachmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Louis Hundhammer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roger Goodall. That made the score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. When Horsham United's Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen, in the 40th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Horsham United. 43 minutes into the match, Whitstable's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Drachmann came free, but Roger Goodall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julien Drachmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Roger Goodall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Whitstable's Roger Goodall got control of the ball when Louis Hundhammer tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48thth minute of the game Christof Wagner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whitstable's Roger Goodall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Louis Hundhammer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger Goodall was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. When Horsham United's Julien Drachmann in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Whitstable's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roger Goodall was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Louis Hundhammer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Whitstable's zone, Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Goodall came out of the goal and Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Keane kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When Louis Hundhammer came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Horsham United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louis Hundhammer couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horsham United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. A collision led to Whitstable getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Camron Hughes hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Whitstable's Roy Barber got a free kick in the 91st minute. Roger Goodall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julien Drachmann in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Horsham United were awarded a corner. Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Horsham United's corner Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roger Goodall quite easily take care of the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Johnathon Shipton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joseph Bamberger. Johnathon Shipton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. There was no doubt that Horsham United were the better team. Horsham United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
