Julien Drachmann struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Len Nightingale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horsham United. In the 20th minute, Louis Hundhammer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Julien Drachmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horsham United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Christof Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Len Nightingale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julien Drachmann's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Horsham United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Waterlooville. Daniel Wood stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joseph Bamberger. 1-2. Louis Hundhammer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Len Nightingale having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Len Nightingale saved Waterlooville from getting behind. Albert Hoskins was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Joseph Bamberger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Hoskins in the 44th minute. Len Nightingale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julien Drachmann made a kick off. Christof Wagner was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen scored 1-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Len Nightingale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Christof Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Waterlooville's zone, Louis Hundhammer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Len Nightingale came out of the goal and Louis Hundhammer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Daniel Wood sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joseph Bamberger skillfully saved the ball. Len Nightingale came out of the goal and Christof Wagner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 71 in the game by Louis Hundhammer from a close distance when the talented Len Nightingale managed to make a qualified save. Waterlooville's players were relieved. After having played for 72 minutes, Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 75th minute, Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Horsham United's Len Nightingale threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julien Drachmann, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 78 minutes into the match, Waterlooville's goalkeeper Len Nightingale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Louis Hundhammer. Len Nightingale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julien Drachmann in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julien Drachmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bradley Phippard kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Louis Hundhammer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Len Nightingale made a huge save. Horsham United played a much better game than Waterlooville and deserved their victory. The Waterlooville players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
