Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jupp Otto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Joy having to interfere. Patrick von Prittwitz's late challenge caught a Basingstoke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick von Prittwitz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Sefton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick von Prittwitz to maneuver through the defense. Basingstoke's Rupert Joy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jupp Otto in the 8th minute of play. Karl Lentz took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rupert Joy. Rupert Joy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 12thth minute of the game Karl Lentz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Basingstoke's Rupert Joy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Sefton FC's Karl Lentz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Karl Lentz had several of the Basingstoke's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Rupert Joy as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rupert Joy didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 20th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. Basingstoke's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Karl Lentz scored to the left of an out of position Rupert Joy, making the score, 5-0. Max Buckholz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Joy having to interfere. In the 30th minute Karl Lentz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert Joy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Lambert got free with Rupert Joy in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Max Buckholz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rupert Joy was a little too slow when Karl Lentz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 6-0. Karl Lentz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rupert Joy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl Lentz to make the kick off. Sefton FC's Karl Lentz got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Lentz scored 7-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rupert Joy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ollie Wilhelm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rupert Joy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Rupert Joy came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Sefton FC's Heiko Augsberger. But to his dismay, Heiko Augsberger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Ollie Wilhelm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rupert Joy having to make a save. Karl Lentz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rupert Joy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rupert Joy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jupp Otto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sefton FC's Karl Lentz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Basingstoke's zone, Ollie Wilhelm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rupert Joy came out of the goal and Ollie Wilhelm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rupert Joy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl Lentz's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Jupp Otto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rupert Joy was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Karl Lentz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rupert Joy was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Karl Lentz took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rupert Joy. Rupert Joy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Rupert Joy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Max Buckholz went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 12-0 was the resulting score. Rupert Joy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jupp Otto went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 13-0 was the resulting score. Karl Lentz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Sefton FC were the better team. Sefton FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
