The referee ignored Kerkezer AFC's protests and gave Ralf Faas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kerkezer AFC's Ralf Faas got a free kick in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the game, SIX LUX's Denis Dieschbourg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florian Hopf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Denis Dieschbourg managed to get in a good position for a shot. SIX LUX's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Dieschbourg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florian Hopf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerry Ludwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Hopf having to interfere. If Jerry Ludwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
