Continental United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Albert Hopf was a little too slow when Evren Cambaz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 2-0. 12 minutes into the match, Evren Cambaz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Continental United's Albert Hopf. Albert Hopf was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albert Hopf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wally Auffarth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Hopf made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Evren Cambaz sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, FC Fano's Jonathan Wercollier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Dietrich Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Hauck in the 24th minute of play. Albert Hopf made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Jonathan Wercollier sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, FC Fano's Evren Cambaz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregory von Knyphausen during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gregory von Knyphausen kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Stan Gernsback hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 32 minutes, Gregory von Knyphausen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Continental United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregory von Knyphausen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute Jonathan Wercollier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Hopf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evren Cambazs short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Albert Hopf to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Wercollier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Hopf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Wercollier in the 44th minute of play forced Continental United's goalkeeper Albert Hopf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Evren Cambaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Hopf. Continental United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evren Cambaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Hellmuth Kayser's late challenge caught a FC Fano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hellmuth Kayser helped the player get up and apologised. Hellmuth Kayser kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Karl Beauchêne was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Continental United's Albert Hopf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wally Auffarth in the 64th minute of play. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Evren Cambaz sped through Continental United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Albert Hopf. 75 minutes into the game, FC Fano's Evren Cambaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Hopf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. In the 79th minute Jonathan Wercollier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Hopf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Evren Cambaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Hopf. Albert Hopf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Wercollier in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Georg Pichler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Wercollier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Hopf having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jupp Seimetz in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Fano's goalkeeper Dietrich Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dietrich Winkler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregory von Knyphausen in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the FC Fano players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
