The Continental United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Hopf should have stopped the shot. Albert Hopf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Hummel, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 17 played minutes Flackwell Heath got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Lützel. After a rather tough play, Continental United's Vincent Hauck got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 26th minute, Continental United's Jupp Seimetz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jasper Ahle. Jasper Ahle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Gregory von Knyphausen succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. A collision led to Continental United getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Hellmuth Gerhardt hit a great ball. Albert Hopf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Bourbon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Hopf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Hummel, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Albert Hopf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Blumenfeld went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. With 41 minutes on the clock, Jan Hartmann commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Continental United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! After 45 played minutes Flackwell Heath got a freekick which was hit by Bob Hummel. Albert Hopf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wally Fiedler, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Albert Hopf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Bourbon in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Joel Blumenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Hopf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Lützel in the 57th minute of play forced Continental United's goalkeeper Albert Hopf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Wally Fiedler could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Albert Hopf however easily saved by the left post. In the 63rd minute of the match, Bob Hummel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Albert Hopf was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Wally Fiedler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Albert Hopf skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Wally Fiedler came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Flackwell Heath fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wally Fiedler couldn't finish the play. If Ivan Backhaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bob Hummel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Albert Hopf came out and tried to block the shot, but Bob Hummel slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Continental United's Albert Hopf got control of the ball when Ivan Backhaus tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Continental United getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Hellmuth Kayser hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Flackwell Heath's Benjamin Bourbon tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Joel Blumenfeld received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Albert Hopf came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Blumenfeld slotted it home off the left post making it 2-6 in the 86th minute. Jasper Ahle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregory von Knyphausen, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Benjamin Bourbon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Albert Hopf came out and tried to block the shot, but Benjamin Bourbon slotted it home off the left post making it 2-7 in the 94th minute. When the match was over Flackwell Heath could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Continental United throughout the match.
